Being a positive influence in society

Dr.Chau Chak Wing has long believed that education can help lift individuals and families out of poverty by giving students the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to improve their lives. He has acted on that belief by generously donating to educational sector in China and Australia.

2013: Kingold donated more than RMB 100 million to establish the Vocational and Technical Education Center in Chaonan District, Shantou City.

2013–2014: Kingold donated RMB 60 million for the construction of a new campus at Liangkou Middle School to promote educational development in Conghua district.

2015: The Dr。 Chau Chak Wing Building at the Business School of the University of Technology, Sydney, is completed, Made possible by a donation of RMB 150 million and designed by Frank Gehry, winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, it is Australia's first landmark building to be named after a person of Chinese heritage。

2015: The Chau Chak Wing Museum is made possible by a donation of nearly RMB 100 million to the University of Sydney. It features a special China exhibition hall and is the first museum in Australia to be named after a person of Chinese heritage. The museum will help a new generation of Australians and Chinese learn about the culture and history of the two countries, while reinforcing the friendship between China and Australia.

By the end of 2015, Kingold had donated over RMB 700 million supporting the domestic and international communities it is a part of.
